My Chemical Romance has been very controversial in the recent years. This band is labeled under many different genres such as, Alternative Rock, Post Hardcore, Pop Punk, and Emo. The band has not wanted to be labeled as “emo”  and  quotes “Basically, it’s never been accurate to describe us. Emo bands were being booked while we were touring with Christian metal bands because no one would book us on tours. I think emo is F–ing garbage, it’s bulls–. I think there’s bands that unfortunately we get lumped in with that are considered emo and by default that starts to make us emo.” This band was a lot better in their earlier years. Since their most recent album, they have been becoming more mainstream as their popularity increases.
Fall Out Boy was a band that you just couldn’t get tired of. They made so many songs that were very well known to the Alt.Rock community. Their music videos were controversial and just down right funny. There were rumors that they had broken up in 2009 but they haven’t and are scheduling an album release soon.
Undoubtedly you have heard the song Pumped Up Kick by Foster The People. This is their only really popular song, but the overmassing popularity made actual music lovers hate the song as it rose on the charts. I have nothing against the band, just the song Pumped Up Kicks. Used to be one of my favorite bands too. Mainstream gets the best of them… Anyways, this band is different and most of their songs are so catchy. Just because Pumped Up Kicks ruined it for most of us, doesn’t mean they are truly horrible. They’re album Torches is a incredible. Listen to it sometime.
Remember that song Skater Boy? And how that song always got stuck in your head? This girl, Avril Lavigne sang it. She got married then just stopped recording songs. Well she came back this summer with the song What The Hell and it was an awesome song. Downloaded the album Goodbye Lullaby and it was an unforgettable album.
Ever listened to a band that you had never listened to before and you fell in love with them instantly? Well this band has that effect.
My friend got me addicted to this band. I’m not an overly huge screamo fan but this band is AMAZINGFULLNESS
